2nd Line Engineer | Central London | up to £200/day

Jonothan Bosworth Recruitment Specialists are currently working with an established technology company, as they look to bring on board an 2nd Line Engineer to assist the business by providing technical support for any escalated calls and to assist other engineers when required.


This job role requires a good understanding of Citrix, 0365 & ideally Cloud/Azure technologies, and as Support Technician, you will provide onsite assistance; face-to-face, by email or by phone, accurately identifying the urgency, impact and priority of a call, troubleshooting as far as possible, and gathering information. The support will take place on client site near Trafalgar Square.

If you can investigate hardware and software issues to identify the cause and possible workarounds, whilst aiming to identify solutions where possible and escalate issues to third-line support, vendors, or to other teams where necessary we’d like to hear from you.

Resolving tickets in a timely manner, and keeping the customer updated at all stages of the process is vital, so too is monitoring completion of backup jobs to ensure that tapes are changed.

Administering desktop OS images for laptops and desktops, working with O365 and assisting with issues whilst using and helping with basic Windows server requirements will result in an immediate interview request.


Essential skills include: Windows 10, Microsoft Office, Office 365, Active Directory administration, laptop hardware, desktop hardware, mobile hardware, printer hardware, and networking basics.

Ideal skills include; MAC OSX, Software packaging, OS deployment and Windows server.


Technicians with a strong desire to work as an extension to an IT Support team, delivering high quality support services to multiple end users, experiencing different office environments will thrive in this role.
