Jonothan Bosworth Recruitment Specialists are currently working with a well-established IT Service Provider on an exciting job opportunity based in their Surrey office, as they seek the skills of an experienced, technical 3rd Line Engineer.

++ The ‘hands on’ deployment, planning, scoping, designing and implementation of Microsoft Exchange (not including O365) is vital for this role ++

An experienced “Hands On” Senior 3rd Line Support Engineer (ideally with Microsoft Certifications) is who we are looking for.

The ideal candidate will have several years solid commercial experience working for an MSP in hardware repair, swap out, installation, break fix and maintenance on major brand servers, desktops & notebooks.

Anyone with solid commercial experience with design, implementation and migration of any Microsoft Infrastructure – especially Exchange will be of interest to us.

If you possess a strong technical skillset and can work unsupervised using your own initiative, then this job opportunity will be for you. Around 80% of your work will be carried out remotely from our clients’ office near Epsom in Surrey and there is also a large element of telephone work so excellent communication skills are essential.

THE TECHNICAL SKILLS:

Engineers with good working knowledge and commercial experience with Microsoft Server 2008R2/SBS/2012R2/2016 and experience with design, implementation and migration of Microsoft Exchange will be of interest.

Some Networking skills will be beneficial.

In addition, if you have experience with; Applications, AV Products (i.e. Sophos), Backup Products (i.e. Datto, Veeam), Remote Desktop Services (i.e. Microsoft & Citrix), and Virtualisation (Hyper-V/VMware) we’d like to hear from you TODAY.

Candidates familiar working with Helpdesk PSA Ticketing software such as AutoTask, Connect Wise or similar will be highly desired.

THE OTHER STUFF:

This role is centred on the support, maintenance and break/fix of both hardware and software; installation, service, repair & break/fix of HP ProLiant & Dell PowerEdge Servers, Desktops & Notebooks, and the servicing of DSL & Lease Line Circuits and associated hardware.

So, if you have solid experience around diagnosing, trouble-shooting and resolving IT issues, as well as checking & monitoring client servers and backups and responding to flagged failures, please get in touch.

THE DESIRABLES:

3rd Line Engineers with experience in managing a team of engineers to deploy and deliver IT projects, with knowledge of IP Telephony (BroadSoft & Polycom) & Storage (Dell EqualLogic & HP) and Pre Sales IT Technical Support skills are likely to receive an immediate interview request.
