Our client-partner requires an analyst who can take responsibility for the quality and governance of their data, as they are keen to ensure that they maximise the related benefits from moving to an ERP system, along with avoiding any issues from having incomplete or missing data in the system at go live.
This role has a crucial part to play and will provide input to planning activities, reporting and playback sessions, co-ordination with functional subject matter experts and the data team.
It will also be an evolving role, which responds to the needs of the project in line with the overall goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Initial orientation stage:
If you can develop an understanding of the central programme teams’ data migration project already in place and develop an appreciation of the current structure and quality of the data already held, whilst also being able to articulate this to the relevant teams and then act as an intermediary, we’d like to hear from you.
Data mapping:
If you can use the framework in place as a guiding reference to ensure the field level mapping is completed successfully, to involve reviewing & challenging data definitions, assessing size and scale of the exercise to determine business resource requirements and cleansing & transforming data where required, please get in touch.
Business process adherence & internal audit:
This links to the data mapping exercise. One example might be the recording of agreed supplier payment terms.
Business process improvement:
If you can identify improvements that can be made in the data collection process, either where an existing process is set out or where there is no clear process set out, you are likely to receive an immediate interview request.
Business reporting:
Linking in with the reporting workstream to ensure reporting requirements are supported by data being collected is also important.
EXPECTED OUTPUT:
We are looking for an individual who can help with the successful transition to the new ERP system, with a comprehensive internal audit of data, whilst also providing clean transactional quality data, coupled with solid business and process improvement.
CONCLUSION:
Analysts with a pro-active approach to management of data, experience of working in a ‘record to report’ manner with good stakeholder management and an understanding of reporting tools, ETL process and data lakes, coupled with strong data quality improvement experience should apply today. If you enjoy talking to business stakeholders, and combating resistance to change – this is the job opportunity for you.
