Infrastructure Engineer | circa £45,000 | South East & Home Based
This is a great opportunity to support and develop our partners’ Managed Cloud Platform (MCP) including ongoing maintenance and BAU support of a broad range of infrastructure services and customer environments. This is a home-based role with some attendance onsite (if/when required), with a reporting line to the IT Operations Manager.
In this role you will have 4 key areas of responsibilities.
Infrastructure Engineers who can provide L3 (3rd Line) technical support, resolve escalations of incidents from the Service Desk teams; investigate recurring problems to identify root-cause and resolution and scope non-standard service requests, will be of interest.
Facilitating installations and removing services within customer environments and datacentres, whilst supporting and onboarding and offboarding customers will also make up part of your remit.

If you can comply with Customer (MSC) Change Control; use prescribed templates for documentation and communication, follow industry/vendor best-practice when implementing changes, and offer guidance to other team members and the wider operations teams, we’d like to hear from you TODAY.
Improvement & Innovation:
Engineers with an ability to identify issues and risks to infrastructure(s) and propose solutions, whilst leveraging integration between Managed & Public Cloud Platforms, also whilst adopting the use of automation/orchestration tools to improve efficiency and scalability and implement changes to improve performance; stability and availability of systems are likely to receive an immediate interview request.
Are you able to support an on-call team by providing (rota based) 24/7/365 technical escalation coverage? Can you engage; collaborate and communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders and peers including, but not limited to, Infrastructure and Network Engineers; Consultants and Project Managers to ensure smooth, seamless transition; implementation and BAU running of Infrastructure and Cloud services? Would you be able to undertake other responsibilities, commensurate with a role of this nature by contributing towards developing a supportive working environment, demonstrating a commitment to professionalism and respect, transparency, and accountability?

Engineers who have delivered technical support in a customer-facing role, and managed M365 services (Azure AD; InTune; Exchange; SharePoint; Teams), coupled with a deep understanding of Virtualization technologies (Hyper-V; VMWare), in support of SAN and other file storage technologies (NFS) will be sought after.
Managing and maintaining Windows Server 2012/16/19 and Microsoft Active Directory Domain Services/Group Policy/DNS/ADCS – with a strong grasp of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP; Routing; Access Control) is important. Coupled with experience around monitoring solutions (SolarWinds NPM/IPAM/NCM/NetFlow) and Datacentre environments and Enterprise systems and extensive user experience of Service Desk (ITSM) systems, (ideally ServiceNow) will make you highly desirable to our partner.
