IT Help Desk Coordinator | Surrey | up to £30,000

Jonothan Bosworth Recruitment Specialists are currently working with a well-established IT Service Provider on an exciting job opportunity based in their Surrey office, as they seek the skills of an experienced “Hands On” Help Desk Coordinator.

As IT Help Desk Coordinator, you will have a minimum of 1 years’ experience working at an MSP; coordinating a busy IT Help Desk with solid, demonstrable commercial experience in hardware repair, break fix, installation, swap out and maintenance on major brand servers, notebooks and desktops.

If you possess a good technical skillset with the ability to work unsupervised – using your own initiative, and able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends on a shared shift basis, then we’d like to hear from you TODAY.

Telephone work is an integral part of this role therefore excellent communication skills are essential.

THE BASICS:

You will be tasked with the coordination of a 24x7x365 IT Support Help Desk comprising of 6 Technical Support Engineers, whilst managing the processes involving logging support tickets for customers and delegating/escalating tickets to the appropriate Support Engineer.

If you can continually evaluate our clients’ support team and their resource availability whilst managing the schedule of onsite visits; assuming 1st line support activities in the event of any resource and/or workload issues encountered within the team : attending all appropriate customer “Review of Service” meetings, and working towards resolving service corrective action plans, we think this role will be for you.

THE SKILLS:
 

IT Coordinators who can monitor and review the IT Help Desk efficiency and performance as a whole in order to form proposals for future improvements, and who work predominantly on/with Microsoft Server 2008 R2, 2012R2, 2016, Microsoft Exchange 2010/2013/2016 & Microsoft Remote Desktop Services will be held in good stead.
 

Additional tasks will include the installation, service, repair & break/fix and checking & monitoring client servers and backups; installing service packs and critical updates onto managed client servers, as well as the managing & maintaining of the Hosted Network & Systems Monitoring Application.

ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE:

A broad computer systems knowledge across all business sizes, with good networking skills (Cisco, HP, DrayTek, Zyxel, Netgear, Sophos) is also important.

If you are also familiar with AutoDesk; Help Desk Ticketing and PSA (Professional Services Automation) Software packages, and currently hold any formal IT Certification you are likely to receive an immediate interview request.

Other skills that would be beneficial include knowledge of Security & AV Products (Sophos etc), Cloud Backup Products, Terminal Services (Microsoft & Citrix), and Mobile Devices (iOS, Android, Windows Mobile)

THE INTERVIEW PROCESS:

The telephone interviews with take place as soon as possible.

The face to face interviews are likely to take place w/c 23rd and 30th July.

The ideal start date will be during the month of August 2018.
