Network Support Engineer | Up to £25,000 | Telford
Jonothan Bosworth Recruitment Specialists are currently seeking a Technical Service Analyst | Network Support Engineer for what is a key IT company based in Telford where you will provide technical Network support.
You’ll provide telephone and email support for all solutions services, offering advice regarding LAN infrastructure, you will provide remote assistance for customer equipment, schedule customer visits into data centres and schedule maintenance windows with customers.
You will provide 2nd Line VoIP support to the 1st line team along with other departments, to include basic levels of firewall management and customer firewall consultant.
Undertake a major incident role in the event of a network incident and provide cover undertaking customer router installs when required, proactively contact premier customers advising of potential faults and planned engineering.
THE KEY SKILLS:
As Network Support Engineer you’ll have 12 months service desk experience in the telecoms industry
THE TECHNICAL STUFF:
Must have experience of dealing with Internet Services, including DSL, Domain hosting, email and VoIP
Broad knowledge of technology and the telecoms sector
Good knowledge of networking principles and Windows OS
5 GCSEs as a minimum including English & Mathematics at Grade C or equivalent
Cisco routers, switches, basic firewall management, MAC OS, data centre management duties and experience of training staff and creation of training documentation is highly sought after for this role.
