W3C Accessibility Initiative

Jonothan Bosworth is fully committed to ensuring its website is accessible and inclusive for all of its users; whether you use a text browser, screen reader or other assistive technologies. As an essential part of our ongoing inclusivity policy, we have aimed to build this site in compliance with the guidelines and standards provided by the W3C Accessibility Initiative.

Accessibility describes to what level a product or service can be used by people of all abilities and disabilities. This can apply to digital TV interfaces, a mobile site, app, or in this case, a website.

We have aimed to provide full accessibility with the following functions:

  • HTML heading elements have been used for page structure, supporting assistive technologies that allow page navigation from heading to heading.
  • Many links have title attributes which describe the linked page in greater detail.

This site has been tested to ensure it is accessible in a wide range of browsers. (Note – website best viewed in Google Chrome).

  • We aim not use colour to convey information ensuring that all pages on this website should be readable regardless of your level of colour vision.

It should be possible to access any part of the site (including forms) using just the keyboard. However, if you have any problems with this, do contact us and let us know. Please provide information about the web browser and operating system you are using. Additionally, most browsers support jumping to specific links by typing keys defined on the web site. These are known as “access keys”. They are activated in various ways depending on your browser and operating system. Please refer to your systems help page.

Our guidelines and standards are constantly under review, but if you come across any issues or have further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
