The basics:

If you are a “hands on” QA Engineer | Tester ready to be inspired by a talented team at our clients’ Exeter office, then please read on.

As QA Engineer, you’ll ensure that the software changes the development team delivers are of high standards and match the documented requirements.

You will be fully integrated in the Development team and will be involved in projects and changes from the start.

As QA Engineer | Tester you will have experience with test management tools, test case scripting, testing progress reporting, Functional testing and other aspects of Quality Assurance.

You will be involved in the testing of various aspects of the product including, Front end user interface testing and back end server testing with an API layer. You’ll be involved in creating the test approach and executing various types of testing.

As an experienced software testing professional, you should have an excellent track record of quality improvement of the products you have worked on.

QA Engineer | Tester duties:

Review functional specifications and design documents to develop test cases based on existing templates.

Perform functional testing either manually or using appropriate tools.

Perform regression testing.

Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs.

Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs.

Provide testing progress report at regular intervals and at the end of a project.

Skills:

As QA Engineer | Tester you will have at least 2 years’ experience in a professional QA Engineer / Software testing role

Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes

Experience in writing detailed test cases

Experience with testing responsive desktop and mobile UI designs

Knowledge of various development methodologies (SCRUM, KANBAN, Waterfall, TDD/BDD)

THE ADDITIONALS:

We are looking for an individual who has commercial experience working with AWS, Centos, Redhat, CodeIgniter and/or Phalcon, Python and/or Django along with a good understanding of the full project lifecycle and Front-End Technologies (CSS, HTML and JavaScript) – please get in touch.

Jonothan Bosworth Recruitment Specialists are currently looking for a 3rd Line Support Analyst where you will maintain and support the IT infrastructure of a large and reputable company.

As 3rd Line Engineer, you will be customer focussed and have great technical ability where you will have autonomy and ownership to make changes.

3rd Line Support job role:

Administration and maintenance of mission critical web and database servers (predominantly Microsoft)

Proactive problem solving, respond to Helpdesk escalations raised at 3rd line level

Maintaining the 3rd line call status via the Helpdesk incident tracking system

Collecting and maintaining KPIs of key systems up time and performance

Pre-requisites:

You will have excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Server environments including Active Directory, Windows Server OS, SQL, Lync (Skype for Business) and Exchange.

Knowledge of Endpoint and Enterprise security.

Knowledge of building Windows Desktop images.

Exposure to Backup systems and SAN technology.

Job Role:

  • You will be the primary point of contact for all workflow queries, and troubleshoot any technical issues
  • Design new workflows and reports
  • Handle Workflow related Support Desk calls
  • Amend current Workflows as requested
  • Work with Management to help prioritise Workflow maintenance and development schedules
  • Evaluate need for and recommend upgrades, fixes, plug-ins, etc
  • Keep up with news and trends in development methodology, Mattersphere in particular

Experience:

  • You will have extensive experience of Workflow Development ideally in a Professional Services or Insurance service environment
  • Previous experience of Mattersphere Workflow tools (preferable) or Visualfiles. Similar tools considered. Training in appropriate products will be available
  • Exposure to C#, VB or similar programming languages advantageous
  • Excellent project management, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong experience of process driven design. Ability to understand and build Visio process diagrams
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to prioritize work flow activities
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills with a good knowledge of Conditioning statements
  • Familiarity with relational databases
