Project Engineer | up to £40,000 | Near Chelmsford

Jonothan Bosworth are working with their newest client; a leading provider of managed IT services and support, based near Chelmsford, as they look for a Project Engineer with excellent customer services skills, the right technical aptitude and a desire to continue to deliver outstanding service and support.

THE BASICS:

The ideal Project Engineer will provide customers with a professional project delivery service; working on a wide variety of IT projects, accountable for ensuring projects are completed within the planned schedule and within budget.

Any Project Engineer that has managed Office 365 implementations and migrations, and core infrastructure upgrades and installations, coupled with hands on experience around the Virtualisation of a customer’s existing environment, including migrations from VMware to Hyper-V, network upgrades and firewall set ups are going to be of major interest to us.

THE SKILLS:

We are looking for individuals with solid technical and customer services skills as well as applied knowledge of configuring, supporting and maintaining a range of technologies from multiple vendors, end-user computing: Microsoft and Apple operating systems, plus mobile device management systems.

Extensive working knowledge around: Messaging & Collaboration: Exchange, Skype for Business, SharePoint and other Office 365 applications; Servers & Virtualisation: Microsoft Operating Systems, UNIX, Linux and OS-X, Hyper-V, VMware, Parallels and Veeam; Storage & Data-Security: NAS / SAN / Backup technologies and Anti-virus and Anti-malware systems; Cloud Services: Microsoft Azure and AWS; Network Services: SonicWALL and CISCO & Web Services: SSL certificates, Apache, PHP, MySQL, FTP will result in an immediate interview request.

THE CONCLUSION:

Engineers who can support the business in maintaining their Microsoft Gold Partnership status by keeping up-to-date with the latest Microsoft certifications and can identify trends to support with the effective management of third party vendors and suppliers, will be desirable.

System Administrator : 2nd Line Support Engineer | Essex | £25,000 – £30,000

Jonothan Bosworth Recruitment Specialists are currently looking an experienced System Administrator 2nd Line Support Engineer to assist our client with their large and growing customer base.

As System Administrator 2nd Line Support, you will provide technical expertise throughout the business.

Role:

You will manage and facilitate the service of the client service desk and managed service platform. To diagnose and resolve in an efficient and timely manner, customer issues that have been logged and act as an escalation point.

  • You will take ownership for telephone calls to the Support Desk and resolve them as quickly and effectively as possible
  • Act as 1st to 3rd remote support when systems demonstrate performance issues or service failures internally and externally
  • Develop, monitor and support the hosted environment proactively taking corrective action where required
  • Assist Client Support team and undertake duties which include 2nd and 3rd remote engineering when required serve as Client Support Engineer (Complex installations or problem resolution) and provide support as required
  • Produce scope documentation and obtain customer agreement for migration to the hosted system
  • Take ownership of a customer issue and resolve in a professional and timely manner
  • Provide monthly Client Support Team performance statistics and where necessary propose improvement strategies to correct poor performance to senior management

Citrix experience is key for this role, troubleshooting and able to investigate issues

Experience in Networking and Windows

  • You will have experience in a 2nd Line Support, System Administrator position
  • Qualifications in: CompTIA A+, MCP/MCSE (Microsoft Certified Professional), CCENT (Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician)
  • Experience in PC Hardware and software
  • Network cabling and Networking experience of Windows and MS packages including, Office, Internet and Exchange
  • Key experience in Microsoft Server and Exchange
  • Citrix experience
  • You will have a UK driving licence
